Unit tests improve quality, if you do it right.

If developer really care about their codes, quality can be improved, even without unit tests.

Nowadays, I write unit tests whenever possible and see benefits. But this after 1+ year of studying and practicing.

Unit test is not a silver bullet. It doesn’t solve every problems. You can’t expect to see benefits right after you write first unit test. You need to be patience as well as your team.
